Compare serp.ac plans and limits, start a free trial, change or cancel your plan, buy add-ons and usage packs, and use the money-back guarantee.
serp.ac is billed as a monthly subscription in US dollars, charged to your saved card. Everything about your plan lives on the Billing page: your current plan and card, usage, quotas, add-ons, invoices and the money-back guarantee.
Only the account owner and admins can manage billing. Editors and viewers can see the page but not change anything. See Team & roles.

The AI engines are ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Mode. On Starter you choose any 3 of them. Full feature comparisons are on the pricing page.
Monthly quotas (indexer URLs, index checks, Maps searches) reset at the start of each billing period. The Usage card on the Billing page shows how much of each limit you use.
Free trial
- You can currently try any plan free for 7 days. A card is required to start, but $0 is charged today.
- The trial can be used once per account and once per card. If the card or email already had a trial, serp.ac asks you to confirm before charging the plan right away.
- During the trial you get the full plan, except indexing is capped at 20 indexer URLs and 100 index checks.
- You can switch plans freely during the trial. Add-ons are not charged until it ends.
- We email you 3 days before the trial ends. If you do nothing, the monthly price is charged to your card automatically.
- To end the trial without a charge, click Cancel trial. You keep full access until the trial end date.
Step by step: start, change or cancel a plan
- Open Billing. With no active plan you'll see Start your 7-day free trial (or Choose a plan if you already used your trial).
- Pick a plan, enter your card and, if you have one, a discount code under Have a discount code?.
- Confirm. Your plan starts at once, and tracking begins.
- To change plans later, click Upgrade to … or Switch to … in the Plans section.
- To stop renewing, click Cancel subscription and confirm. Your plan ends at the end of the paid period, and you won't be charged again. You can click Turn auto-renew back on any time before then.
- To replace your card, click Update card.
- Download invoices from Invoices & payments with View or PDF.
How plan changes are charged
- Upgrades are charged right away, prorated for the rest of the billing period. The new plan only applies if the payment goes through.
- Downgrades credit the unused time on your current plan to your next invoice.
- Your usage must fit the new plan. If you use more projects, keywords, prompts or links than the smaller plan allows, remove some first.
Add-ons and usage packs
Add-ons are recurring extras on the same monthly invoice. They are prorated when added mid-period, and you can remove them any time (unused time is credited). You can add each one more than once.

Usage packs are one-off purchases charged to your saved card in one click from Monthly quotas & packs. They never expire and are used only after your monthly quota runs out.

Payment status

| Ended | The plan has ended. Tracking is paused, but everything you set up is kept. Choose a plan to resume. |
If the very first charge after a trial fails, tracking stays paused until the payment goes through.
7-day money-back guarantee
Not happy after your first payment? Within 7 days of your first payment, open Billing and click Cancel plan & refund (the button shows the amount). Every subscription charge in that window (plan, upgrades and add-ons) goes back to your card, usually within 5–10 business days. The subscription is cancelled immediately and tracking stops.
- The guarantee can be used once per account.
- Usage packs are not covered, and neither are renewals after the window.
- Cancelling during the free trial costs nothing, so you don't need a refund then.

Discount codes, credit codes and referrals
- Discount codes give a percentage off and are entered when you start a plan (Have a discount code?).
- Credit codes are redeemed on the Billing page under Redeem a credit code. The credit is deducted from your next invoices.
- Referrals: share your link from Referrals. You currently earn 20% of every subscription invoice your referred customers pay during their first 12 months. Commission collects as pending credit and is added to your account once it reaches $50. It is then deducted automatically from your next invoices. Credit can't be withdrawn as cash, and the commission on a refunded payment is reversed.
Tips
- Check the Usage card before downgrading, so you know what to remove.
- Running low on indexing quota only now and then? A usage pack is usually cheaper than upgrading.
- Need more keywords or prompts but not a bigger plan? Add-ons extend just that limit.
- Receipts and invoices are issued by Stripe, which also emails you a receipt after each payment.
FAQ
Will I be charged when the free trial ends?
Yes, unless you click Cancel trial before the trial end date. We email you a reminder 3 days before.
What happens to my data if my plan ends?
Nothing is deleted. Tracking is paused and your projects, keywords, prompts and links stay in place. Choose a plan on the Billing page to resume.
Can I get a refund after the first week?
The money-back guarantee covers subscription charges within 7 days of your first payment. Later renewals, partial months and usage packs aren't refundable. You can always cancel so the plan doesn't renew.
Do unused indexer URLs roll over to the next month?
No. The monthly quota resets each billing period. Usage packs never expire, though, and are used after the monthly quota.
Who can change billing in a team account?
Only the account owner and admins. The plan, its limits and quotas are shared by everyone in the account.
