Terms of Service
Last updated: October 24, 2026
Please read these Terms carefully. They explain how serp.ac works, how subscriptions, the free trial, billing and refunds work, and your and our responsibilities.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a contract between you and serp.ac (legal entity name not set) (“serp.ac”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Refund Policy and Acceptable Use Policy. If you use serp.ac on behalf of an organization, you confirm you're authorized to accept these Terms for it.
2. The service
serp.ac provides tools to monitor search engine rankings, visibility in AI assistants (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude), backlinks, purchased links, and to submit or check URLs for indexing, together with notifications by email and Telegram.
Results depend on third-party search engines, AI providers and data suppliers. Rankings, AI answers and backlink data change constantly and may differ from what you see yourself. We don't guarantee any ranking, AI mention, indexing outcome or traffic, and the service is not a substitute for your own judgment.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate account information.
- You're responsible for your password and all activity in your account, including API keys and team members you invite. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access.
- One free trial and one money-back guarantee per customer. Multiple accounts or cards used to get around plan limits, the trial or the guarantee may be closed, and the benefits obtained may be reversed.
4. Subscriptions and auto-renewal
- Monthly subscription. Paid plans (Starter, Pro and Agency) are monthly subscriptions billed in advance. Each billing period starts on the day your subscription (or your first paid period after the trial) starts and lasts one month.
- Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of every period and the then-current price of your plan and add-ons is charged to your saved payment method, until you cancel. By starting a subscription you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge that payment method on each renewal.
- Payment method. A valid card (or Apple Pay / Google Pay) must be saved to start a trial or a plan. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your full card number. You can replace your card at any time in Billing.
- What's included. Each plan includes the limits shown on our pricing page at the time of purchase, including a monthly quota of indexer URLs and index checks.
5. Free trial
- New customers can start any plan with a 7-day free trial. A saved card is required to start it, but nothing is charged during the trial (your bank may show a temporary authorization that is released automatically).
- The trial is available once per person and once per card. If the account or the card has already had a trial, the plan starts as a paid subscription immediately.
- When the trial ends, your card is charged the plan's monthly price automatically and the subscription continues month to month, unless you cancel before the trial ends. We send a reminder by email about 3 days before the trial ends.
- How to cancel: go to Billing and turn off auto-renew at any time before the trial ends. You won't be charged and the plan ends when the trial ends.
- During the trial, the indexer quotas are limited to 20 indexer URLs and 100 index checks. The plan's full quota applies from the first paid period. Changing plans during the trial is free; the new plan's price is charged when the trial ends.
6. Plan changes
- Upgrades take effect immediately. The prorated difference for the rest of the current period is charged to your card right away. If that payment fails, your plan isn't changed.
- Downgrades take effect immediately. The unused part of the higher price for the rest of the current period is credited to your account and deducted from your next invoices; it's not paid out to your card.
- Your current usage (projects, SERP keywords, AI prompts and tracked links) must fit within the new plan's limits before you can downgrade. Your billing date stays the same.
7. Add-ons
Add-ons (extra SERP keywords, AI prompts, tracked links or projects) are recurring items on your subscription and renew with it every month. Adding an add-on mid-period charges the prorated amount for the rest of the period immediately; removing one credits the unused part to your next invoice. Usage must fit within your limits before an add-on is removed. Add-ons end when your subscription ends.
8. Monthly quotas and usage packs
- Monthly quota. Each submitted or checked URL uses one unit of your plan's monthly quota of indexer URLs or index checks. Quotas reset at the start of every billing period; unused quota doesn't roll over.
- Usage packs. When your quota runs out you can buy one-off packs, charged to your saved card. Packs are used only after the monthly quota, never expire while your account exists, and are kept if your plan ends (they can be used again once you have an active plan). Packs are non-refundable once purchased, except as required by law.
- Indexing outcomes. Indexing is decided by Google. Usage is not returned for URLs that don't get indexed. If a job can't be submitted at all because of a technical failure on our side, its usage is returned automatically.
9. Failed payments
If a renewal or other subscription payment fails, the subscription becomes past due. Stripe retries the payment automatically over the following days and we notify you so you can update your card. Your access continues while payments are retried. If all retries fail, the subscription is cancelled, your plan ends and tracking pauses. Your data and any unused usage packs are kept, and you can start a plan again at any time.
10. Cancellation
- You can cancel at any time in Billing by turning off auto-renew. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: your plan and add-ons stay active until then and aren't charged again. You can turn auto-renew back on before the period ends.
- Outside the money-back guarantee, there are no refunds or credits for partial periods, unused quota or unused add-ons.
- Deleting your account cancels the subscription immediately, without a refund for the current period.
11. 7-day money-back guarantee and refunds
Within 7 days of your first payment (the first charge after your free trial converts, or your first purchase if you didn't have a trial) you can cancel from the Billing page and receive a full refund of all subscription charges (plan, upgrades and add-ons) made in that window, refunded automatically to your card through Stripe. The plan ends immediately. The guarantee applies once per account and does not cover usage packs. The free trial itself is free: cancelling during the trial costs nothing.
All other refund rules are set out in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Referral program
- You earn 20% of every paid subscription invoice of customers who sign up through your referral link, during their first 12 months.
- Commission is recorded as pending credit. Once your pending credit reaches $50.00, it's added as account credit and deducted automatically from your future invoices. Smaller amounts wait until the threshold is reached.
- Referral credit is not cash: it can't be withdrawn, transferred or exchanged, and it isn't paid out if you close your account.
- If a referred payment is refunded (including under the money-back guarantee) or charged back, the related commission is reversed, and applied credit may be removed from your account.
- Self-referrals, duplicate accounts, and spam or misleading promotion don't qualify. We may withhold or reverse commission obtained through abuse and may change or end the program with notice; credit already applied stays on your account.
13. Coupons and promotions
- Percentage coupons are entered when you start a plan and discount your subscription as described in the offer (for example, for a number of months).
- Credit coupons are redeemed on the Billing page and add a fixed amount of account credit that is deducted from your future invoices.
- Coupons have no cash value, can't be combined unless stated, may be limited to one use per customer and may expire. Coupons obtained or used fraudulently may be cancelled.
14. Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, please contact us first — most billing questions are resolved within one business day, and a refund through us is faster than a dispute. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute, we may suspend the account while it's reviewed. If the dispute is decided in your favor, the disputed amount counts as refunded and the related plan, add-ons or packs end. Disputing legitimate charges may lead to account termination.
15. Prices and taxes
Prices are in US dollars. Taxes such as VAT, GST or sales tax are added where we're required to collect them and are shown on your invoice; otherwise you're responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchases. Stripe sends a receipt for every payment, and invoices are available in Billing. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next renewal after the notice period, and you can cancel before then.
16. Your data and content
You keep all rights to the domains, keywords, prompts, link records and other information you add (“Customer Data”). You give us permission to process Customer Data only to provide and improve the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the right to monitor the websites and pages you add. To check links, our crawler requests the public pages you specify, identifying itself with its own user agent and respecting reasonable request rates.
17. Acceptable use
You agree to follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend features or accounts that put the service, our providers or other users at risk.
18. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties such as Stripe (payments and billing), Telegram (messaging), email providers, search and AI data providers, and hosting providers. Their availability and terms are outside our control. Connecting Telegram is optional.
19. Our intellectual property
serp.ac, its software, design and content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from the service, except as allowed by law or through our API as documented.
20. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available and secure but don't guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may update, add or remove features. If we remove a core feature of your paid plan, you may cancel and we'll refund the unused part of your current period to your original payment method.
21. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in Settings; this cancels your subscription immediately. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, that are used fraudulently, or that have a payment disputed with the bank.
If we terminate your account without cause, we'll refund the unused part of your current subscription period and the price of any unused usage packs to your original payment method. If we terminate for a breach, no refund is given except where required by law.
22. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that data from search engines, AI assistants or data providers is complete or accurate.
23. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, rankings or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
24. Indemnity
You'll defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your Customer Data, your use of the service in breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
25. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we'll notify you by email or in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you don't agree, you can cancel before the changes take effect.
26. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the company is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence still apply where relevant.
